RBD palmolein moved up on the local edible oil market on Monday on some enquiries. Other major oils also ruled steady. Castor seed August contracts ended lower on stray buying support amid some offerings.

Groundnut oil raw was steady at Rs 500 per 10 kg. Imported crude soya oil was steady at Rs 378 per 10 kg.

RBD palmolein was up Re 1 at Rs 411 per 10 kg. Castor oil commercial grade was steady at Rs 330 per 10 kg. Sunflower oil expeller was up Rs 2 at Rs 410 per 10 kg.

Sugar firm

Sugar spot prices firmed up further at the Vashi wholesale market on Monday on sustained buying interest from upcountry centers.

Small grade (S-30) was up Rs 10 at Rs 1,862-1,890 per quintal over previous day, while medium grade (M-30) was up Rs 16 at Rs 1,895/1,953 per quintal over previous close.
