Electro shareholding in BPL

The total shareholding of the T.P.G. Nambiar-controlled Electro Investment Private Ltd in BPL Ltd has gone up to 43.14 per cent. In a notice to the BSE, Electro Investment said that it acquired 1,70,00,000 shares aggregating to 38.03 per cent of the total paid-up capital of BPL Ltd on June 30. The mode of acquisition was through preferential allotment and the total shareholding of Electro Investment after the acquisition is 1,92,82,200 shares aggregating to 43.14 per cent of the total paid-up capital of BPL Ltd.
