Telecom FDI: Extension notified

New Delhi, July 4

Pursuant to the Cabinet decision last week, the Government has notified extension of the time period for the telecom service providers to comply with the revised foreign investment ceiling in their paid up equity, by three months up to October 2. The Government had notified the enhancement of FDI limits in the telecom sector from 49 per cent to 74 per cent, subject to specified conditions.
