Farmer suicides

Farmer suicides can be prevented only by eliminating middle-men — money lenders, and vendors of spurious seeds, fertilisers and insecticides. Poor farmers must be provided with low-interest bank loans. Rich farmers must be taxed on a par with others and they should not be given subsidies; the money saved can be used to protect the lives of poor farmers.
