I will always remain a businessman: Rahul Bajaj

"I am not a member of any political alliance, nor do I owe allegiance to any of them. I am a businessman and I will always remain that," said Mr Rahul Bajaj, Head, Bajaj Group and chairman of Bajaj Auto Ltd, at a function held here on Wednesday to felicitate him on being elected to the Rajya Sabha. The felicitation ceremony was organised by the Indian Merchants' Chamber (IMC).

"My top-most priority will be to work for the inclusive development of Maharashtra," Mr Bajaj told reporters on the sidelines of the ceremony.

Mr Jamshyd Godrej, CMD, Godrej and Boyce Manufacturing Co Ltd, Mr Uday Kotak, Vice-Chairman and MD, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Mr Viren J. Shah, former Governor, West Bengal, and Mr Mukesh Ambani, CMD, Reliance Industries Ltd, spoke at the function.
