Off-shore Development Tavant Tech sets up ODC for Bandspeed Our Bureau
Bangalore , July 5 Bandspeed Inc, a vendor of wi-fi management solutions, has partnered with Tavant Technologies to set up a dedicated offshore development centre (ODC) in Bangalore. As part of the agreement, Tavant will provide IT infrastructure, office space, payroll management and other back office services to Bandspeed. The ODC will allow Bandspeed to scale its product development and engineering efforts by leveraging 24x7 design, support and test cycles and exponentially increase quality, said a press release. Bandspeed is focused on solving the wi-fi network challenges faced by the full spectrum of businesses, from small to large enterprises. "By expanding our product development organisation to Bangalore, we will continue to attract the brightest engineering minds across the globe. This will allow us to round out our product line while building significant leverage into our engineering efforts," said Mr Bill Eversole, President & CEO of Bandspeed. As a small company, Bandspeed wanted to focus on product development and hiring and was essentially looking for a vendor who would take care of its non-critical functions, while ensuring complete IP protection. Tavant's proprietary incubate-operate-transfer (IOT) model served to address these needs, the release said.
