Farm credit

This is with reference to "Give the farmer a chance" (Business Line, June 30): The editorial makes important points on the issue of flow of credit to farmers. The RBI has not done enough to ensure that NABARD has sufficient resources.

In the name of better monetary policy, it proposes to cut all lines of credit to NABARD. With actions such as these, one has to take the RBI's current tag line of `financial inclusion' with a pinch of salt.
