Poor buying affects palmolein

RBD palmolein ruled weak on the local edible oil market on Thursday on poor buying enquiries.

Groundnut oil raw was steady at Rs 500 for 10 kg. Imported crude soya oil was steady at Rs 395. RBD palmolein was down Rs 4 at Rs 407. Castor oil commercial grade was up Rs 2 at Rs 332. Sunflower oil expeller was down Rs 3 at Rs 407. Castor seed August contracts ended higher Rs 29 to Rs 1,557 a quintal.

Sugar spot prices moved up on the wholesale market on steady buying. Small grade (S-30) was steady at Rs 1,856-1,891 a quintal, while medium grade (M-30) was up Rs 20 at Rs 1,895/1,970.
