7 States to sell loans

Seven State Governments have announced the sale of 10-year State Development Loans 2016, for Rs 1,683.324 crore, through a yield-based auction using multiple price auction method. Andhra Pradesh has announced the sale of loans worth Rs 742.155 crore, which is the highest among the seven States. It is followed by Rajasthan (Rs 450 crore) and Madhya Pradesh (Rs 300 crore). Jharkhand, Meghalaya, Mizoram and Sikkim are the other States to sell loans.

The auction would be conducted by the Reserve Bank of India at Mumbai on July 13. RBI would determine the maximum yield at which offers would be accepted, on the basis of bids received.
