New Products & Services States - Karnataka Sona Mobility rolls out Sixt car rental biz Our Bureau
Bangalore , July 10 Sona Mobility Services, a division of Sona Group, would be investing Rs 10 crore to develop Sixt car rental business in Bangalore. The company is also aiming to tap the large opportunities in fleet management and car leasing services. Announcing the formal launch of the new service, Mr Sunjay Kapur, CEO, said the company was starting with 50 cars and would grow its fleet size by 80 per cent in the next three years of its operation. Bangalore is expected to provide 25 per cent of the company's total business and Sona Mobility would be spending a third of its total investment of Rs 30 crore to develop infrastructure, and augment fleet strength in this key southern market, Mr Kapur said. He said Sixt would initially provide rent a car services to its enterprise customers in Bangalore. As part of its growth strategy, the company will add leasing and fleet management services to its product portfolio by November. Sona Mobility plans to build up an overall fleet strength of 6,000 in four years and hoped to achieve a break even within next two years from its operations in major metro cities.
