This is with reference to "GSLV crashes into Bay" (Business Line, July 11).

It was a big disappointment because there were great expectations about the benefits it would bring in communication, Defence, business, etc.

Above all, the neighbours and the world were watching. But the ISRO Chairman has said such failures are not uncommon. His assurance that it is only a "minor setback, and won't affect the space programme" provides hope.
