Amul butter in a new pack

Virendra Pandit

Anand , July 13

Amul butter, a household name for decades, will now be available in an internationally designed tub-pack as the cooperative sector behemoth rolls out the pack nationally this month.

With this, Amul will be the first company to launch butter in an international pack in the country thereby strengthening its leadership status in the category.

The blister pack is being packed in a modern plant at Amul Dairy, Anand, and carries eight to ten grams of butter for a single serving. This would also be acceptable amongst the starters as a low-priced trial pack.

The GCMMF Marketing Head, Mr R.S. Sodhi, said aviation and railway sectors, which are taking up catering on a big scale, would find the new butter pack convenient to customers.
