Financial Performance Corporate Results - Supply Chain Management Blue Dart Q2 PAT up at Rs 11.1 cr Our Bureau
Mumbai , July 13 Blue Dart Express Ltd has announced Rs 11.12 crore profit after tax for the second quarter ended June 30, 2006 as compared to Rs 10.40 for the quarter ended June 30, 2005. Income from operations has logged an increase of 21 per cent Rs 157 crore (Rs 129 crore). For the six-month period, the company reported a profit after tax of Rs 29.3 crore against Rs 19.9 crore in the year-ago period. Total income was Rs 310.1 crore (Rs 255.2 crore).
Air capacity
The company has added two more Boeing 757-200 freighters to strengthen its operations in India. The courier major has an air capacity of 250 tonnes per night across 60 route connections, a press statement issued by the company said. Shares of Blue Dart Express Ltd rose by 6.01 per cent to Rs 488 on Thursday.
