Sugar Triveni Engg Q1 net rises 28 pc Our Bureau
New Delhi , July 13 Noida-based sugar and mechanical equipment manufacturer Triveni Engineering and Industries Ltd on Thursday reported a 28 per cent increase in net profit at Rs 32.4 crore during the first quarter of the current fiscal. The company registered net sales of Rs 299.98 crore during the quarter ended June 30 this year, up 19 per cent over the corresponding quarter of previous fiscal, the company said in a release. The company's earnings per share during the period, was Rs 1.26, compared to Rs 1.22 in the corresponding previous quarter. Commenting on the results, Mr Dhruv M. Sawhney, Chairman and Managing Director, said, "The management expects the current fiscal to be robust on account of capacity enhancement by 50 per cent in sugar and cogeneration businesses. The engineering business has been extremely encouraging. We now have an order book of over Rs 577 crore, which is 71 per cent higher than the turnover for the entire last fiscal."
