New Projects Agri-Biz & Commodities - Sugar Dhampur Sugars undertakes expansion Our Bureau
New Delhi , July 13 Dhampur Sugar Mills Group is implementing expansion projects with an investment of Rs 863 crore. The first phase involving Rs 530 crore is already under implementation and would be completed before March 31 next year, according to a company release. Due to additional investment of Rs 95 crore in first phase, the project cost would get enhanced from Rs 435 crore earlier to Rs 530 crore, which will make the company eligible for incentives in Uttar Pradesh for ten years instead of five years.
Better capacity
In the second phase involving Rs 333 crore, the company will set up a green-field project at Madhuban in Bihar at a cost of Rs 185 crore, apart from expanding existing facility, according to the release. By the end of the expansion drive, the Group's crushing capacity would reach 46,250 TCD from the current capacity of 30,750 TCD. Captive power generation would reach 197MW from the current 54MW. The capacity of its distilleries will also increase threefold to 300 KLPD from the existing 100 KLPD.
