Special Court set up in Mumbai

A Special Court has been set up in Mumbai for the speedy disposal of prosecution cases filed by SEBI.

Considering the long pending cases filed by SEBI in various courts in Mumbai, the regulator had requested the Government of Maharashtra to set up a special court for the speedy disposal of its cases. About 450 cases are pending in various courts in Mumbai. A similar special court has already been set up in Delhi at the request of SEBI for speedy disposal of cases filed in Delhi.
