AP okays Vedic varsity draft

The State Government has okayed the draft ordnance for the establishment of Sri Venkateswara Vedic University, under the aegis of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) at Tirupati.

A high-powered committee looked into the feasibility and recommended the establishment of such a University and also finalised the draft legislation for the purpose.

According to an official release, the Vedic University would take up the task of preserving and fostering the ancient system of Vedic recitations and also propagation of knowledge system contained in Vedic literature.
