HDFC property fair in Madurai

Madurai, July 14
Destination Madurai - a three-day property fair organised by Housing Development Finance Corporation (HDFC) opened here on Friday.
In the last five years, Madurai has witnessed tremendous growth in infrastructure and residential property market. The process is bound to gather more momentum, being earmarked as a destination for future growth in the state. The city is already in the radar of property developers from north India, said the HDFC Regional Manager, Tamil Nadu and Kerala, Mr Mathew Joseph, while speaking to presspersons here on the occasion.
HDFC's operations in the region has risen to Rs 400 crore with a year-on-year growth of more than 33 per cent in the last five years.
Over 20 projects comprising about 1,500 units ranging between Rs 7 lakh and Rs 30 lakh are on display, varying from an area of 750 sq.ft up to 1,500 sq.ft.
