TN Chamber team meets Chief Minister

Madurai, July 16

Office-bearers of the Tamil Nadu Chamber of Commerce and Industry led by the President, Mr S. Rethinavelu, met the tamil Nadu Chief Minister, Mr M. Karunanidhi, in Chennai earlier this week. They held detailed discussions and offered several proactive suggestions on tax reforms, including immediate implementation of Value Added Tax (VAT) in the State and for acceleration of tax revenue . The chamber suggested formation of a high-level advisory committee under the chairmanship of the Chief Minister to interact and take timely decisions on implementation of schemes and infrastructure projects.
