UTI Bank opens office at Shanghai

Mumbai, July 17

UTI Bank has set up a representative office at Shanghai, China. The office would facilitate and promote trade related services between the bank in India and commercial entities in China.

It would also act as an advisor to the customers on trade related opportunities in China. "There is a considerable surge in trade volume between India and China and our presence in Shanghai would create opportunities for the bank in the domain of trade finance and investment advisory," UTI Bank said in a news release quoting Mr P. J. Nayak, Chairman and Managing Director of the bank. The bank opened a branch in Singapore, this year.
