Dewan Housing Q1 net profit rises 26 pc

Dewan Housing Finance Corporation Ltd (DHFL) has recorded 26 per cent rise in net profit during the first quarter ended June 2006.

Net profit stood at Rs 9.93 crore for the quarter compared to Rs 7.88 crore in the corresponding previous period.

Total income rose by 39 per cent to Rs 65.46 crore (Rs 47.10 crore); loan disbursements increased to Rs 287.92 crore, recording a growth of 32 per cent.

The company's loan portfolio has grown by 46.74 per cent to Rs 2,470 crore.

On Monday, the DHFL scrip closed at Rs 63.15, down from previous close of Rs 63.45.
