Vimta Labs Q1 net down at Rs 3.53 cr

Vimta Labs Ltd (VLL) has suffered marginal fall in net profit for the quarter ended June 2006 despite significant growth in turnover.

As per the unaudited financial results approved by the board on Monday, the company posted net profit of Rs 3.53 crore on a turnover of Rs 15.35 crore against a net profit of Rs 3.63 crore on a turnover of Rs 12.72 crore.

This translates into an EPS of Rs 1.60 per share of Rs 2 on an expanded equity of Rs 4.42 crore, against Rs 10.06 per share of Rs 10 on an equity of Rs 3.6 crore.

In a release, the company said that its life sciences facility in the Genome Valley was fully established and expected to be commissioned by month-end.
