Kalam to inaugurate Flora Expo

New Delhi , July 18

The President, Dr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, will inaugurate the 2nd Flora Expo 2006 being organised in the Capital on September 8-10 for promotion of flower industry in the country.

The expo will include a conference on investment opportunities in the floriculture, apart from technical workshops. The exhibition will see participation from Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, Germany, UK and Japan among other countries.

The exhibition is being sponsored by Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (Apeda) and is supported by National Horticulture Mission, Ministry of Agriculture.
