Madurai , July 19

Jute, the environmentally friendly fibre, has traversed a long way from mere gunny bags, as package material to lifestyle products. They have gained national status and become part of popular way of life. To create an awareness, a `Jute Fair' comprising an exhibition-cum-sale of these lifestyle products made from the natural fibre are on display at the Chellam Plaza in the Kamarajar Salai in the city, held from July 19 to 25 between 10 a.m. and 8 p.m. About 33 exhibitors from West Bengal, Delhi, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu have their products on display.
