Bangalore, July 19

Bangalore International Airport Ltd (BIAL) said it has signed contracts with its two flight catering concessionaires on Wednesday. LSG Sky Chefs and Taj SATS, selected by BIAL in June, would run the new BIA Air Catering unit for the 15-year contract period. A BIAL release said their combined investment would be approximately Rs 70 crore. BIAL reserved the right to award a third licence later. Each of the consortia selected from among nine international bidders would be responsible for the design, construction, finance and operation of the flight kitchen at the Rs 1900 crore airport coming up at Devanahalli.
