Thiruvananthapuram , July 20

SriLankan Airlines has extended its e-ticket facility to tickets purchased through most travel agents.

A printout of the booking combined with a valid passport is all passengers need to present at the airport, says a press release issued by the airline. Payment can be made by credit card and travel agents can send the printout to the passenger via e-mail or fax. The e-ticket facility was so far available only for tickets bought through the airline's offices or bought on its Web site www.srilankan.aero, the release adds.

"With an e-ticket it is also impossible to lose or damage one's ticket, since a new printout can be easily obtained from any computer or fax machine," said Mr Kapila Bandara, E-Commerce Manager, SriLankan Airlines.
