Outlook HP arm bullish on IT service management V.Rishi Kumar
Hyderabad , July 20 The software services arm of the global technology major Hewlett-Packard sees a growing opportunity for integrated IT service management that helps enterprises optimise their technology investments and assets. The Market Development and Alliances Manager of Software Global Business Unit, HP, Mr Bithin Talukdar, said management of technology assets in the rapidly changing business environment has turned out to be a challenging task for chief information officers in enterprises. Through IT service management which provides an integrated approach to management of technology assets through expert guidance, it is possible to use the technology better by aligning it with business objectives. On a visit to Hyderabad, Mr Talukdar told Business Line that since the needs of enterprises are unique, the company has developed for IT service management, approaches adaptable to specific challenges. Each involves a combination of HP Open View and HP Services solutions and each of them can be implemented alone or in combination with any of the others.
