Groundnut oil and refined soya oil weakened further on the local oilseeds market on Thursday on lack of follow-up buying. Groundnut oil raw was down Rs 5 at Rs 520 per 10 kg. Refined soya oil was down Rs 3 at Rs 405 per 10 kg. Imported crude soya oil was down Rs 2 at Rs 390 per 10 kg. RBD palmolein was steady at Rs 415 per 10 kg. Castor oil commercial grade was steady at Rs 350 per 10 kg.

Castorseed August contracts ended higher Rs 36 at Rs 1,615 per quintal.

Sugar mixed

Sugar spot prices were largely mixed with limited trading volume on the Vashi wholesale sugar market on Thursday on scattered buying.

Small grade (S-30) was up Rs 25 at Rs 1,845-1,880 per quintal, while medium grade (M-30) was down Rs 4 at Rs 1,875-1,941.
