Mumbai , July 21

The Mumbai police along with intelligence agencies have arrested three suspected terrorists associated with the Mumbai bomb blasts. Two of the suspected terrorists were arrested in the border areas of Bihar and Nepal and one from Navi Mumbai, said Mr R.R. Patil, Maharashtra's Home Minister. He was addressing the legislature on Friday.

Mr Patil said that the Maharashtra Government has enough information regarding Pakistan involvement in the Mumbai train blast. It would be shared with the Union Government, he added.

Upgrade maritime security

Giving details on the new measures for maritime security, Mr Patil said that the Union Government has approved Rs 40.92 crore for a five-year period to upgrade the maritime security infrastructure in the State.

Under this plan, 12 new marine police stations would set up. About 24 operational police check-posts would be overhauled and 32 new check-posts created. Plus 28 speedboats would also be bought for enhancing maritime security, he said.
