NCL Industries Q1 net up at Rs 6.17 cr

NCL Industries Ltd has registered substantial growth of over 87 per cent in sales turnover and five-fold increase in net profit for the first quarter of current fiscal ended June 30, 2006.

As per the unaudited financial results, the company has achieved a sales turnover of Rs 46.55 crore as against Rs 24.87 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year and a net profit of Rs 6.17 crore (Rs 1 crore).

In a press release here on Friday, the company said all the three divisions recorded impressive growth during the quarter under review. The cement division posted a turnover of Rs 28.77 crore as compared to Rs 15.16 crore in the corresponding quarter of previous fiscal, the boards division achieved a turnover of Rs 7.8 crore (Rs 5.98 crore), while the prefab division reported a sales of Rs 9.99 crore (Rs 3.72 crore).

The company said its expansion projects of increasing the clinker capacity, setting up of a new grinding unit near Vijayawada in Andhra Pradesh and new board project in Himachal Pradesh taken up at a total investment of over Rs 68 crore were progressing well as per schedule.
