Internet Object Frontier, UK firm tie up for recruitment portal Archana Venkat
Chennai , July 23 Technology and services provider Object Frontier Software India has tied-up with the UK-based education tool developer Face Publishing to develop and deliver a Web site solution. The project will be completed in phases and the first phase is valued at about Rs 70 lakh. Expected to extend over three years, the total project is valued at about Rs 13.5 crore. The deal involves setting up a search engine to identify graduates for recruitment. There will be about 20 scalable parameters including in-built psychometric tests for evaluating CVs of students. Companies can customise each of these parameters.
Intuitive software
To be launched on November 15, the site will have methods to match resumes with industry requirements on a case-to-case basis. "The software is intuitive and will give the percentage compatibility between a resume and a job requirement," said Mr S. Kauntheya, Vice President-Services, Object Frontier. To be called www.gotgraduates.com, the site will initially include fresh graduates in the UK. "We have tied-up with 150 universities in the UK to provide details of their students on the site," said Mr Lee McCormack, Chief Executive Officer, Face Publishing. Registering through universities ensures authenticity of the information in their CVs. About 3,000 companies will have access to the Web site. The portal will be launched in India in late 2007. Explaining the revenue model, Mr McCormack said companies would pay a fee for every student they hired. "A part of this recruitment fee will be given to the university (to which the student belongs) to develop its infrastructure and include education relevant to the industry," he said. Universities can subscribe free of cost. Object Frontier has signed three other contracts with companies in the UK, Canada and the US but did not want to share their details. Earlier this month, the company signed a deal with the UK-based IAG for around Rs 10 crore to develop and manufacture a patient entertainment system for hospitals in London.
