Hyderabad , July 23

Madhucon Project Ltd, the Hyderabad-based, infrastructure major has achieved a turnover of Rs 349.54 crore for the financial year 2005-06, up from Rs 310.56 crore in the previous fiscal.

The profit after taxation was pegged at Rs 33.27 crore during fiscal 2005-06, a near 100 per cent jump from the previous year's Rs 16.16 crore, according to the audited annual accounts of the company.

The board of directors of Madhucon, which met on Saturday and approved the financial results also recommended an equity dividend of 30 per cent on the paid up capital for the year ended March 31, 2006, subject to approval of the members at the annual general meeting scheduled for August 19, 2006.

The earning per share (EPS) for the last fiscal stood at Rs 11.80 against Rs 27.78 the previous year. The company said this was because the face value of equity share has been sub-divided from Rs 10 per share to Rs 2 per share. The current year EPS is reflective of the change in face value.
