Mr Arun Malhotra, Chief General Manager, Sales and Marketing, said on the occasion that the new WagonR is 10 per cent more fuel-efficient compared to the outgoing version. The company also launched WagonR Duo, which can run on petrol and LPG. With the launch of the new look version of WagonR, he said that Maruti is expecting a 20 per cent increase in its sales in the State. He described Kerala as "Maruti's own State" with highest market share. Around 6,500 Maruti cars were sold in Kerala last year. Of the total sales of Maruti vehicles in the State, WagonR constitutes 17 per cent, he added.
