Aventis Pharma Ltd has posted a 28 per cent growth in net profit at Rs 43.9 crore for the second quarter ended June 30, 2006, compared to Rs 34.2 crore in the corresponding quarter for the previous year. Total income (net of excise) has increased from Rs 220.4 crore to Rs 231.8 crore. The board of directors has declared an interim dividend of Rs 3.50 per equity share of Rs 10, the company told the Bombay Stock Exchange.
