Helios & Matheson Ltd, the Chennai-based software company, has reported a net profit of Rs 13.68 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2006 compared to Rs 7.91 crore for the corresponding quarter last year, a 72 per cent increase.

Revenue for June 2006 quarter was Rs 88.92 crore (Rs 49.67 crore) and interest was Rs 69.44 lakh (Rs 97.22 lakh).

The company expects net profit to be about Rs 56 crore and income around Rs 395 crore for the year ending March 31, 2007, according to a company press release.
