Enterprise Resource Planning Precision Info plans new business initiatives Our Bureau
Chennai , July 25 The Chennai-based Precision Infomatic, part of the Precision Group, has announced new business initiatives in the areas of enterprise resource planning (ERP), consulting and integration and information technology education and training. Precision Techserve, another group company, would set up a network operating centre for remote infrastructure management services at a cost of Rs 5 crore, Mr Mathew Chacko, Director, Precision Group, told newspersons. The group is also entering into software development in biometric through Precision Technonet, a group company. Overall, the group plans to spend about Rs 8 crore on new initiatives, he said. Mr V. Murali, Director, Precision Group, said out of the Rs 150-crore group turnover, Precision Infomatic and Precision Galaxy (the group's retail venture) contributes Rs 133 crore and the rest came from Precision Techserve. The group, which has about 600 employees, hopes to achieve a turnover of Rs 400 crore by 2009, he said. The ERP solution will use Microsoft's technology and target small and medium size companies. On IT education and training, Mr Murali said the focus would be on IT infrastructure process and network security implementation. The consulting and integration division would implement solutions based on clients' requirements, he said.
