Gulf Oil income up, net slips

Gulf Oil Ltd has recorded total income of Rs 123.11 crore and a net profit of Rs 5.04 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2006 as against total revenues of Rs 114.95 crore and a net profit of Rs 7.10 crore for the corresponding quarter last year. Last fiscal ended March 31, 2006 the company revenue was Rs 482.80 crore and a net profit of Rs. 22.78 crore. During the quarter, the company set up five production blocks in its speciality chemical division, and plans to add three products in anti-histamines, anti-depressants and cardiac care. While the development of a commercial complex in Secunderabad is underway, the knowledge park is awaiting Government approvals.
