Indian cuisine on Singapore Air flights

Singapore Airlines on Tuesday announced the launch of its new Indian in-flight cuisine, the `Shahi Thali' for its first class passengers from August 2006 onwards. The airline currently operates 47 weekly flights to eight destinations in India. Speaking at a press conference, Mr B.K. Ong, General Manager (India), said, "With growing presence and importance of Indian travellers on-board, it is our endeavour to provide customised in-flight experience to them." Since April 2006, it has appointed Mr Sanjeev Kapoor as a member of its international culinary panel of world-renowned chefs to cater to the Indian passengers.
