Workshop on coir exports

Coir Board in association with the Exim Bank of India is organising a one-day national workshop on `Expanding Coir Export Business Horizons' at Hotel Royale Park in Alappuzha on August 11.

The objective of the workshop is to widen the market access, excessive market penetration in the virgin/nascent markets, explore businesses in all the continents and reach out to competitive markets through innovative tools.

Mr A.C. Jose, Chairman, Coir Board, will preside over the inaugural meeting. Mr Anupum Das Gupta, Secretary, Ministry of SSI and ARI will inaugurate the Workshop.

Dr Christy Fernandez, Addl Secretary, Ministry of Commerce, Mr T.C. Venkata Subramanian, CMD, Export Import Bank of India, Mr P. Aravindakshan, CGM of RBI, Mr K.T. Chacko, DGFT, Kerala and Mr Ram Venu Presad, Advisor to Common Wealth Secretariat will deliver keynote addresses.

Trade representative from Holland in India will make a presentation covering the business opportunities in their country, while the Director, Indo-Australian Chamber of Commerce, will highlight the emerging markets in Australia.
