Tellabs launches mobile solution

Our Bureau

Bangalore, July 26

The US-based Tellabs, a telecommunications firm, has announced the launch of Tellabs IntegratedMobile solution in the Asia-Pacific. The solution advances mobile networks from 2G to 3G and beyond. It enables service providers to achieve up to 40 per cent capital expense savings when building a single R5 3G network, compared with a traditional ATM-based network and meet increasing bandwidth demands with future-proof backhauling at higher bandwidths, a requirement that operators now face with high speed downlink packet access or evolution-data only launches, according to a company release. The solution is managed by the Tellabs 8000 network manager, enabling faster rollout of 3G services.
