The Andhra Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission (APERC) notified guidelines for State Load Despatch Centre (SLDC) charges that would be effective for 2006-2007. As per its regulations, every generating company intending to get connected to the intra-state transmission network will be required to register its generating stations with the SLDC irrespective of the installed capacity. The existing generating companies, distribution and trading licensees connected to or intending to connect to the State Grid will also register themselves with SLDC by filing an applications, along with a fee of Rs 10,000 within a month of the regulation, according to a statement from APERC.
