SCI net drops to Rs 182.01 cr in Q1

Shipping Corporation of India has reported a dip in its net profit to Rs 182.01 crore for the first quarter of the current fiscal from Rs 274.07 crore in the same quarter of last fiscal.

During the quarter, its total income was Rs 831.98 crore (Rs 826.55 crore). Its revenue from the liner segment during the quarter was Rs 128.17 crore (Rs 191.73 crore), while that from its bulk segment was Rs 641.27 crore (Rs 591.92 crore). Liner segment includes break-bulk and container transport, while the bulk segment includes tankers (both crude and product) dry bulk carriers, gas carriers and phosphoric carriers.
