Venkatesh Kini to take over as Coke marketing head

Coca-Cola India has appointed Mr Venkatesh Kini as Vice-President, Marketing. The appointment is effective from September 1, 2006, a press release said.

Mr Kini has over 17 years of marketing, sales and general management experience. His previous assignment was as Vice-President, Sprite and Flavors Brand Business Unit in Coca-Cola North America, which he held since September 2005.

During that time, he led the development of breakthrough advertising and graphics redesign for the Sprite re-launch, the press release said.
