Suprajit Engineering recorded a 52 per cent jump in its net profit at Rs 3.97 crore for the first quarter of the current fiscal compared to Rs 2.6 crore for the corresponding period of the previous year. Its consolidated revenues itself surged 44 per cent during Q1 at Rs 45.32 crore against last year's figure of Rs 31.45 crore for the comparable period. Suparjit's exports were Rs 11.5 crore as against Rs 1.6 crore for the same quarter last year. The consolidated figures for the subsidiaries — Gills Cables Ltd and CTP Suprajit Automotive Ltd was only for the period post May 12, the effective date of acquisition of respective companies. The company said its shareholders had approved a final dividend of 30 per cent. With the interim dividend of 20 announced earlier, the total dividend payout for this year was 50 per cent.
