Srinivasan K. Swamy re-elected

MR SRINIVASAN K. SWAMY

Mumbai, Aug. 2

Mr Srinivasan K. Swamy, CEO, RK Swamy BBDO, has been re-elected President of the Advertising Agencies Association of India (AAAI) for the year 2006-07. This will be his third consecutive year as the AAAI President.

The other elected members of the executive committee for 2006-07 comprise Mr Neville Gomes (Multimedia Aquarius), Mr Sudhir Ghate (Magnum Intergrafiks), Mr Vinod Nair (Network Advertising), Mr V. Shantakumar (Saatchi & Saatchi), Mr Arvind Sharma (Leo Burnett), Mr Madhukar Kamath (Mudra Communications), Mr Tapas Gupta (BEI Confluence Communication), Mr Surajit Nag (ASP), and Mr Nagesh Alai (Interface Communication).

Mr Madhukar Kamath, Managing Director and CEO of Mudra Communications was re-elected Vice-President.

Immediate past-President Mr Sam Balsara, Chairman and Managing Director, Madison Communications, will continue to be the ex-officio member of the new AAAI executive committee.

There are five vacancies in the executive committee, which will be filled by co-option by the new executive committee. The AAAI is the apex body of advertising agencies in the country, which comprises 83 members who account for approximately 80 per cent of all the advertising business in the country.
