People Narayanan to be Vice-Chairman, CTS board Our Bureau
MR LAKSHMI NARAYANAN
Chennai , Aug. 2 Mr Francisco D'Souza, Chief Operating Officer, Cognizant Technology Solution, will take over as President and Chief Executive Officer from January 1, 2007. He will succeed Mr Lakshmi Narayanan, who will become Vice-Chairman of the board of directors. The changes were announced as part of senior-level management changes at Cognizant. Mr D'Souza was part of the team that founded Cognizant in 1994. Mr Gordon Coburn, Chief Financial Officer, will be promoted as Chief Financial and Operating Officer. Mr Chandra Sekaran, an executive officer , has been promoted as President and Managing Director, Global Delivery. Mr Rajeev Mehta has been promoted as Chief Operating Officer, Global Client Services, and will join the executive team. Mr Chandra Sekaran and Mr Mehta will report to Mr D'Souza, says a company press release.
