Canara Bank upgrades Coimbatore office

Canara Bank has upgraded its Regional Office set up in Coimbatore into a Circle Office. Till date, the regional office here was reporting to Madurai Circle.

"This re-organisation is expected to provide a leeway for faster decisions in this competitive environment," said the bank's Deputy General Manager, Mr Sethupathy.

About 116 branches across Coimbatore, Nilgiris, Erode, Salem, Dharmapuri and Krishnagiri have been brought under the Coimbatore Circle command area.

The newly formed Coimbatore Circle has reported a business of Rs 4,742.58 crore, at the end of July 2006.
