Authorities are taking steps to set up the National Centre for Sustainable Aquaculture (NCSA) here and the Union Government has sanctioned Rs 6 crore for the purpose. Mr M. Subrahamanyam, Collector of East Godavari, said that efforts were on to launch the centre in September. It would be temporarily housed in the buildings of the Fisheries Research Institute. He said the institute would be of great help to aqua farmers in combating diseases and obtaining better crop.
