The New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) listed technology services provider Keane Inc has entered into a strategic alliance with Intelligroup to offer enterprise application services, leveraging the global delivery centres in India.

Together Keane and Intelligroup plan to provide their US- and UK-based clients a range of enterprise applications by combining their technology strengths, business process outsourcing, project management and legacy transformation services.

The Vice-President of Keane's Global Resource Management and Enterprise Application Services (EAS), Mr Kalyan S. Mahalingam, said that according to independent research findings, the EAS market is poised to touch $36.3 billion by 2008.

The alliance with Intelligroup will broaden Keane's services portfolio with expanded capabilities for enterprise resource planning (ERP), customer relationship management (CRM), supply chain management (SCM), business intelligence, and implementation and support.

Expansion

Mr Mahalingam told Business Line that Keane continues to expand its operations in India, and plans to grow its headcount from 3,500 to 10,000 people by 2008.

Both companies have integrated their delivery processes across locations, and have significant presence in Hyderabad.
