This comes in the wake of the New Delhi-based Centre for Science and Environment (CSE) coming out with new revelations that samples of Coca-Cola and Pepsi products have shown even worse levels of pesticides than in a previous study. Soft drinks manufacturers have been quick to condemn the latest findings. The CSE had said earlier this week that investigations revealed that the drinks contained harmful residues, posing a health risk. A CSE report in 2003 resulted in Pepsi and Coca-Cola rejecting claims that their drinks were unsafe.
